Prior to boarding and/or daycare, you must provide proof of the following vaccinations from your vet:

• 6 weeks: Basic vaccinations: distemper and parvovirus (inactivated)
• 9 weeks: Basic vaccinations: parvovirus and Leptospirosis.
• 12 weeks: Large cocktail, (distemper, contagious liver disease, parvovirus) & kennel cough rabies.
• 16 weeks: parvovirus.
• 1 year: Basic vaccination: large cocktail (distemper contagious liver disease parvovirus), Leptospirosis and kennel cough.

Female dogs not neuterd can not be in heat. When they are in heat they are not allowd at HDCC. The risk of a female in heat to be matted is big.
Besite that risk there are males or female that are neuterd with a temper that can start a fight over the female in heat.

As long as the law in Aruba does not require the owner to provide their dog(s) with a CHIP, we cannot force anyone to do so. We would appreciate it if your dog(s) are provided with a CHIP and are registered for various reasons. One of the reasons is that the owner of the dog can be found when your dog is walking around alone on the street for whatever reason.

The accomodations have no airconditiong.
The accommodations are built in such a way that they are sufficiently open so that the fresh wind does the work of cooling your dog. They are completely protected from sun and rain. They are equipped with a concrete floor that is completely sealed so that any odors do not remain in the cracks. The food bowls hang free from the ground and are adjusted to the correct height for our guests.

They are cleaned twice a day and several times if necessary.

Because puppies cannot be fully vaccinated, the minimum age for boarding is 5 months.
From this age they must comply with the mandatory vaccinations as indicated above.

Toys, blankets, bed, stretcher are allowed and will stay with your dog. HDCC is not responsible for your property being lost, dirty or damaged.

We recommend you bring the food your pup typically eats so we don’t change their diet. Please proportion your pup’s food. Due to storage limitations, please do not bring large bags of food or storage containers.
Your dog is used to his own food, he knows it and it works well for him. Switching to another food takes time and after the boarding he will have to switch back to his own food.

Changing food from one day to the next is not a positive experience for your dog and can cause gastrointestinal complaints such as vomiting, diarrhea and a reduced appetite.
This can give your dog a negative experience during his/her stay and we want the time with us to be a positive experience only.

Your dog has its own accommodation for the time he is at HDCC Boarding. The accommodation is cleaned and disinfected after each guest, the food bowls are washed and the water supply is cleaned. This way, every guest is assured of a clean and odor-free stay.

Around dinnertime, your dog will stay in his accommodation for at least two hours. Your dog needs this time to digest the food and to prevent the risk of gastric torsion.

Between 11:00pm and 6:00am, your dog will stay in the accommodation for the night's rest.

Between 6:00am and 7:00pm, you can fully enjoy our daycare and play with their fuzzy friends. In the evening hours, we will personally give them one on one time with them in the form of games, free walking and running on the HDCC area.

In addition to the supervision of our employees during daycare times, there is 24/7 camera surveillance on the daycare play area, boarding accommodations, special area in front of the accommodations and the rest of the area.

HDCC also offers boarding for dogs that are not social with other dogs. They have their own area where they can do their daily things, play with their toys, enjoy the sun and shade. In addition, our employees will spend time with them and walk on a leash to do their potty.

For dogs that are afraid, reserved or even aggressive towards people, we offer this same option. An evolutionary interview will take place beforehand to get to know your dog and evaluate their behavior.

For those puppies between the age of 10 weeks and 5 months HDCC offer puppy playtime on Saturday between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.

"Training" a dog at HDCC can start at the age of 6 weeks. HDCC is the first and only training center that offers training for your puppy at this young age.

Yes you do!
During the obedience classes your trainer will give you advice based on you and your dog. They will explain how the training works for you and your dog. No dog and owner are the same and every dog ​​and owner needs a different way of training.

It all depends on your dog.
In most cases two to five minutes session is more then enough. You can do this 1 or a few times a day.
Your instructor will give your the right advice, bassed on each dog and owner.

HDCC has a maximum of 8 dogs in a group. This way every dog and owner can get the attention and advice they need for their dog.
